Changed:

Rule 3.2:

Before - Do not spam admins on forums or Teamspeak. We're extremely busy and we all have our own roles. You can post on the forums and it will be checked and solved.

After - Do not spam any of the staff members on forums or Teamspeak. We're extremely busy and we all have our own roles. You can post on the forums and it will be checked and solved.

Rule 5.10:

Before - It's strictly against the rules to sell/trade any in-game content for anything outside of the game. It is allowed to sell rare items like the VR-suits and such here on the forums for IN-GAME offers. Both the buyer and seller the will be banned if anyone is caught trying to sell/trade in-game items for ANYTHING outside of the game.

After - Real World Trading: You are not permitted to sell in-game items to other players for real currency under any circumstance, this is called real world trading and isn't acceptable. This the act of trading anything outside of GrandTheftAltis (usually real-world money) for items or services, or vice versa. Players who conduct RWT violate rule 5.10, and may risk being permanently banned without warning. Example: You decide to leave the community, when doing so sell all the money you have to another player.

Rule 5.3:

Before - Killing people on sight without any role-play involved is a bannable offense (also known as RDM, Random Death Match). If the police shooting at you, you may return fire then. Try to add some roleplay though, it's preferred that way.

After - Killing people on sight without any role-play involved is a bannable offense (also known as RDM, Random Death Match). If the police shooting at you, you may return fire then. Try to add some roleplay though, it's preferred that way. If you initiate on somebody and they comply with what you say you cannot kill them, within reason, you cannot ask someone to give you all the money in their bank account or ask them to do anything that would be impossible to do just for the kill, this will also be considered RDM.

Rule 2.6:

Before - When you are revived by a medic you must re-initiate roleplay before shooting/killing anyone. This rule will apply for the person who got shot, and not the shooter.

New - When you are revived by a medic both parties must re-initiate roleplay before shooting/killing anyone.

Rule 5.4:

Before - Using any vehicle as a weapon to run over people is a bannable offense (also known as VDM, Vehicle Death Match). This does also mean that you cannot use vehicles for self defense even though you're getting robbed or attacked. This is something we might change in the future, but don't use vehicles to ram anyone for now (It is still allowed in redzones - But only there, nowhere else!).

If you want to disable a vehicle then use spike strips or shoot out the tires - ARMA is a "special" game and ramming other vehicles with a vehicle does often end up in explosions - That is why ramming other vehicles is classified as VDM. The only exception is for Ifrits and Hunters ramming each other (It is the only vehicles that actually can take it without blowing up randomly).

After - Using any vehicle as a weapon to run over people is a bannable offense (also known as VDM, Vehicle Death Match). This does also mean that you cannot use vehicles for self defense even though you're getting robbed or attacked. This is something we might change in the future, but don't use vehicles to ram anyone for now

The only exception is for Ifrits, Hunters and Striders ramming each other (It is the only vehicles that actually can take it without blowing up randomly).

Rule 5.5:

Before - If you're doing drugs and the cops are approaching you with sirens on (Going for you), then you have fully rights to defend yourself with lethal power - Since they will most likely try to arrest you. You can always defend yourself if they're coming for you, but try to add as much role-play as possible! Remember you cannot just kill cops going past you, they HAVE to be going for you.

After - If you're doing illegal contraband and are at the field, processing or trader and the cops are approaching you with sirens on (Going for you), then you have fully rights to defend yourself with lethal power - Since they will most likely try to arrest you. You can always defend yourself if they're coming for you. but try to add as much role-play as possible! Remember you cannot just kill cops going past you, they HAVE to be going for you.

Rule 5.6:

Before - You play as an individual in greenzones, this means that roleplay does not get initiated for you when your friend gets into a fight with the police or any other players. You have to be involved with them yourself and can't just jump into the fight.

After - You play as an individual in greenzones, this means that roleplay does not get initiated for you when your friend gets into a fight with the police or any other players. You have to be involved with them yourself and can't just jump into the fight.  This does not apply for BLUEFOR, for example if you initiate on a cop then any bluefor can shoot you and you can shoot any bluefor in the area.

Rule 5.12:

After -  You may shoot at ground vehicle to disable it without initiating RP, however, after the vehicle is disabled the shooters must approach the vehicle to RP with the passengers. You may NOT shoot at vehicles that you don't intent to RP with. While trying to disable a vehicle, if it blows up or any passengers are killed accidentally, the shooters will be punished for RDM so the risk is up to the shooter. Shooting a vehicle initiates RP for the passengers so they may defend themselves, however, it does not initiate RP for the attackers so they may not engage passengers until RP is initiated verbally or the passengers of the vehicle started shooting back at them.

This means that 'landed helicopters' are considered grounded vehicles. BLUEFOR are allowed to shoot the gunner of the .50 cal off roads without initiating roleplay.

Rule 10 - Zones

Gang bases are ORANGE ZONES. When you die in a gang base (orange zone) you must follow this guide.
  1. If the situation has concluded before fifteen minutes has passed you must wait the remainder of your fifteen minutes before returning.
  2. If the situation is still ongoing after fifteen minutes you must wait until the situation is over before returning.

Added:

2.9: Using a helicopter to block the path of another helicopter taking off is classed as initiation. Players in the same gang as the pilot of the helicopter are allowed to open fire on the helicopter and gang members of the pilot blocking the path.Example:

You are at oil processing with your gang members piloting a helicopter, a police helicopter enters the area and hovers above you blocking you from taking off. Your gang is now allowed to shoot at the APC due to it being classed as initiation. They HAVE to be hovering directly above you.

5.15 - Combat Spawning: You must not under any circumstance spawn a new vehicle into a combat situation that is occurring. This includes all vehicles present in the game. Example: You are undergoing a firefight with another gang in Sofia, one of the members is close to the garage so pulls out a ifrit to gain an advantage in the fight. 5.15

2.8 - Microphone abuse: You must not abuse your microphone in-game to annoy other people, such as playing music down it or shouting at the top of your voice to ruin other people's roleplay experience. Abusing your microphone in-game to ruin other peoples experience can lead to a ban. Example: You are in Kavala and feel the sudden urge to start playing music at the middle of the market.

5.16 -  Controls: Before playing on the server you should be aware of the most important controls for roleplay purposes. This includes how to put your hands up, holster your weapon and use the Y menu.

Changelog 29-07-2015

  • Storing money whilst somebody has started roleplay with you.
  • Storing money during a Hostage Operation.'

  • Rule Changed:

Before 10.4: Orange zone: Anyone in the zone may shoot on sight without roleplay. Rules apply to all people clearly involved with any situation in the near vicinity. You may shoot from outside the orange zone, into the zone and vice versa as long as the people you are shooting are clearly involved.

After 10.4: Orange zone: Anyone in the zone may shoot on sight without roleplay. Rules apply to all people clearly involved with any situation in the near vicinity. Changelog 17/07/2015

Rule Changed:

10.1: Green zones: Green zones are the main cities (the ones you can spawn in), these zones got the most police in them and are also one of the most strict areas when it comes to laws. If the cops see you with a gun out in these zones, then they may open fire with both non-lethal and lethal weapons. They will take your weapon and give you a ticket or even jail - If they manage to arrest you.

Green zones are also NO fly zones which means that if you're landing a chopper in the zones then you risk the police coming for you, and arresting you. In worst case they might actually destroy your vehicle permanently for landing it in the green zones. Medics are allowed to fly in green zones since they need to be able to get to a patient fast.

Removed the fact that bluefor could shoot armed people on sight within green zones.

Changelog 26/12/2016:

Removed 5.5:

5.5: Cops and NATO that has been given special training with ramming vehicles to disable them may do it for now, this does only apply for NATO and the cops for now, since special training is required and without that you may still blow up vehicles. Please note that we have a special script that should prevent vehicles from blowing up from ramming if done properly. WE MIGHT ALLOW IT FOR CIVILIANS IN THE FUTURE, BUT NOT FOR NOW!

5.4:

     Added:

'Break checking' is also considered a type of VDM and this will not be allowed either unless you are in a stated exception vehicle such as a Hunter, this does not include stationary vehicles so you may still use them in roadblocks or using them in the middle of the road to set traps.

Changelog 22/01/2016:

Rule changed:

11.3: Blue zones: Blue zones are also known as "mission" zones. There's currently three blue zones on the whole map - Which is the Federal Reserve, Neochori bank and the money launderer.

This insures that rebels are able to shoot cops going for the bank without a warning. If they manage to pull the job, then they'll usually head straight for the Gold Bars Buyer which also is a blue zone. This mean that the rebels may defend themselves in any way, if some other people are trying to rob them.

There's also a special rule set for NLR in blue zones:
When you die in a blue zone "mission", then it's over - You may NOT come back during the whole job. This means no fighting at the bank, the ride towards the launderer, and the launderer itself. This applies for both the cops and rebels. This is to make it as realistic as possible, so you actually have to plan it out very well - Rather than just dying and coming back all the time.

Unless your gang has initiated RP in the bluezone, you are NOT allowed to shoot from outside the zone to people inside of it. Once roleplay is initiated with your gang in the bluezone, gang members are allowed to shoot from outside the zone.

Robbing the Neochori bank or the Royal Mint is instantly initiating roleplay with the police, therefore, police and rebels may shoot from inside the zone from outside to anyone who is clearly involved in the situation. Police and rebels may also kill people who are clearly involved in the situation who are outside the zone. (eg. if you are sniping on the hill you are at risk of being shot on sight like everyone else during the bank robbery)

This part of the rules has been removed as it refers too an old time where running people over and ramming was once allowed in the blue zone. It no longers serves a purpose on the server and has created a lot of consusion regarding MRAP combat.

"Vehicle death match is NOT allowed in blue zones, since we want to have a fair firefight without any "pathetic" use of vehicles to win. Especially Ifrit's and Hunter's can be really annoying if VDM was allowed."

Changelog 06/05/2016:

Added:

2.7: If you are incapacitated and you have been restrained, given blood or somebody has made an effort to speak you then you cannot execute yourself for at least five minutes otherwise it will be considered fail RP. If you have been restrained but the person responsible has made no effort to even speak to you then you are welcome to execute yourself. e.g. Player A kills Player B and then restrains him, shortly after tells him that he has called a medic and he should be here soon. If player B then executes himself then he will be subject to punishment.

If you are roleplaying with somebody and forcing them to not execute themselves then you are also liable to roleplay with them once they have been revived and not just take their gear and leave them.

11.1: Green zones: Green zones are the main cities (the ones you can spawn in). These zones have the most police activity and are also one of the most strict areas when it comes to laws. For a list of the laws please visit this link.

Green zones are NO fly zones. If you fly inside the green zone the police might try to shoot you down. If you are planning on landing a chopper in the greezone you have a risk that the police will be coming after you and try to arrest you. In the worst case they might even destroy your chopper permanently.

Medics are allowed to fly in green zones since the hospitals are stationed within the cities.

You are NOT allowed to kidnap Police officers inside greenzones or in their immediate area. This is the place where cops do their main work, and try to get some solid RP on going. You ARE NOT allowed to rob police in these zones. They have to feel "safe" when doing so.

You are NOT allowed to take or hold a player hostage inside the greenzones or in their immidiate area.

You play as an individual in greenzones, this means that roleplay does not get initiated for you when your friend gets into a fight with the police or any other players. You have to be involved with them yourself and can't just jump into the fight.  This does not apply for BLUEFOR, for example if you initate on a cop then any bluefor can shoot you and you can shoot any bluefor in the area.

EDIT:
To clarify this rule, you are still allowed to rob civilians inside the greenzone and you are still allowed to initiate on bluefor.

Added:

4.14: We expect everyone that plays the server to speak English in a formal fashion. This server is dedicated towards roleplay and that can become impaired from certain players not being able to speak the language fluently, due to this we cannot accept players that are unable to speak English in a fluent manner. We require players to know at minimum basic English in order to roleplay with others on the server.
